Cafe Kahawa is located in San Gerardo de Dota, at approximately 2 1/2 hours from San Jose, 09 kilometers off the main road, and on the road side in San Gerardo. The restaurant, opens for breakfast, lunch and afternoon coffee. Dinner might be arranged if reserved in advance. Regular schedule is from 8 am to 5:45 pm. The specialty at Cafe Kahawa is fresh trout, served in many different ways from appetizers, salads, pasta, and sandwiches. Try out our Smoked trout dip, it is really good! THere are also options for those who don't like trout, including chicken, and Costa Rican specialty of bean soup. We now accept credit card payments!Details

The food was terrific! Apple pie is amazing! Fresh salads and delicious trout. Prices are very reasonable. Evelyn, the owner, is a sweetheart and does her best to make you comfortable and happy.
