It’s one of the most popular ‘bufet’ diners in the zone (There’s even 3 different estabishments, any of them is a good option).They serve traditional Costa Rican food (nothing fancy) in very filling portions with good taste at a very low price!
I always hold out for Cafeteria Los Chepiritos when I am driving this road. It’s basic good Tico (Costa Rican) travel food. I’ve never had a bad meal there and they sell newspapers as well–sometimes hard to find outside of urban areas.
