Bf & Ost is located in historic and atmospheric rooms on the beautiful Grabrdretorv. Here, in the heart of Copenhagen, our chefs prepare classic French brasserie-dishes from the best produce in season. The menu lives up to its name (Beef & Cheese) with several cuts of beef and veal as well as a large selection of French and Danish cheeses. Since the restaurant opened in 1972 we have worked with gatherers, who deliver seasonal herbs, berries and wild mushrooms to our door. Since our lives become more and more rushed we at Bf & Ost believe it to be important to create a place where you can unwind and have a good time. Sat in the reasonably sheltered outdoor area for a light lunch. Good and varied menu. Reasonable value. We had French onion soup and a pastry of rabbit terrine. Both outstanding. A glass of the decent Riesling was ideal too.
Spent here about 20 minutes, ordered by glass of champagne and oysters. Service was more than delicate as oysters. Vinegar onions was best ever balanced ever tried. Also interior inside – warm atmosphere where I’d like to come back in next visit.
Amazing location. Although it took forever to get the breakfast (1 hour). Later we ordered a chocolate cake which never came. Two hours later, no chocolate cake – but the charge was on the bill! Good spot – terrible service!
Friendly and welcoming service. Excellent meat, wine and cheese (selection from a table). Fresh vegetables. Good burger for children. Fresh sallad.Mix of traditonal french interior and functional danish design.
