Cafeen i Nikolaj

About

Cafeen i Nikolaj, evoking memories of Greenwich Village in the 1950s, is on the site that, around 1530, was the scene of thunderous sermons from Hans Tausen, a father of the Danish Reformation. Today orating has been replaced by ordering, specifically an array of Danish lunches including a tasty variety of sandwiches along with homemade soups. Nikolaj is an excellent cafe for enjoying simple, tasty food, prepared with fresh ingredients and sold at a fair price. The kitchen is attentive to the changing of seasons, and adjusts the menu each month to reflect the new raw materials that come with the change. You can even enjoy your lunch outside on the square, which is a popular option during the warmer days of the short Scandinavian summer.
