I was not impressed by the place. The food was nothing special. And even though we asked for a well done beef it wasn’t. Not even after it was sent back.
Visited with a group for dinner. The organisation by the staff was poor. Food came sporadically from the kitchen with some people having finished before others were served. Staff were uncommunicative and rude. Food was average.
We had a filling dinner but did not fully enjoy dining experience unfortunately. We would not go there again as there are other restaurants to try out in Svendborg.
Our hosts at our B&B recommended the Citronen to us as we were not disappointed. We had their pastas which we enjoyed very much. We did learn that they were not open on Sundays & they take only Danish credit cards.
Not a lot of people go here since its kind of hidden, which is so sad since the food is honestly amazing and some of the best cafe food in town.
We use Cafe Citronen when we are in Svendborg, it is a cosy cafe with great coffee and home made cakes. It is a cosy place to hang out in Svendborg. You will find great chairs, todays papers and receive a very friendly service.
