Bispegarden was build by Bishop Oluf in the 15th century. Today, the charming yellow building houses Bistro Bispegarden. Bistro Bispegarden is the place to go for a good, trustworthy meal with no fuzz. Here you can experience that special warm and cosy feelings the Danes call "Hygge. Bistro Bispegarden offers tasty, homemade meals made from local, seasonal ingredients. Enjoy your food in a friendly atmosphere with a glass of good wine, local speciality beer or organic soda. We visited the church next to the bistro and then we went by chance to this nice restaurant without any reservation. We had a fantastic dinner in a wonderful garden!
Bispegården is both a restaurant and an art museum. The latter is very interesting, exposing mostly local artists, and there is no admission fee.
Best restaurant in Kalundborg. Very affordable. Excellent service. Centrally located next to the historical church.
