Café Pachamama was an oasis for this vegetarian in Otavalo! There were so many delicious options. Each one was full of flavor and absolutely satisfying. My sons enjoyed the non-veggie options just as much. Beautiful Café, delicious food, diverse menu, and great staff.
The food is very Ecuadorean for the most part, but it is fused with some International flavor, like the Pot Pie, that was very good, it just needed some salt. A good desayuno too.
This restaurant is located in a hotel away from the market, but a beautiful oasis of good food and local decor. Good is delicious and locally-sourced with lots of vegan options. Beautiful outdoor patio is a treat in nice weather!
The food was excellent and the service was great. I had the quinoa-encrusted shrimp and my wife had 1/4 of a basil, tomato, goat cheese, and onion pizza. We met the owner who was very friendly.
I really enjoyed the sandwiches which were a treat and hard to find in other places in Otavalo. The desserts are the best, especially the chocolate cookie served warm with ice cream!
