La Balsa Restaurant is a floating artisan restaurant built with materials of the area and with an Amazonian style. It is located in Misahualli floating 10 meters from the shore on the river Napo. It is an unique and charming place where you can enjoy a beautiful view, delicious Ecuadorian gastronomy and excellent service by our kichwa people from the communities around, Who can also tell you many story and tales about the culture and traditions of the Ancient Amazon. One of our specialties is the typical dish of the Amazon called Mayto, which is a tilapia fish wrapped in a leaf known in the Kichwa culture as Rumi panga (rock leaf), this leaf give a special flavor and taste to the fish after have been steamed . For those who wish and have a bit of free time, they can fish his own tilapia in the great Napo river, as there is a small pond at the Restaurant inside the river.
