Our first meal in Quito, and our waitress advised us to share dishes, as the portions were bigger than we’d come to expect in Ecuador. Lovely potato soup and a fine chicken sandwich. We managed to say no to pastries, although they looked wonderful.

Around the corner from and attached to the Merucre Hotel, this sit down deli serves delicious sandwiches and baked goods. Want to save on room service, just take an elevator ride down and enjoy this cafe. The tamales here are wonderful.
