Since this lodge really caters to larger groups, as two individual guests, for both lunch and dinner we had to wait until the groups had been served and what was served to us, looked like their ‘leftovers’. We didn’t eat any of it.
Great meals, small portions but delicious. Friendly staff. Eating under the stars was so lovely. If you’re in Abu Simbel the options are limited so do make a stop here and also stay here.
Staying and eating at this Lodge was necessary in order to visit Abu Simbel. The food was adequate but not to our liking.
We very much enjoyed our visit here during our time in Egypt. The one thing that stood out for us was the great staff.
I must agree with a previous poster who said she wanted to take the chef home with her. The food was authentic Nubian fare and so very divinely delicious.
This cook deserves a raise. Some of the best meals ever, and they have wine! Order the grilled tilapia.
