We had expected more of the decor of the cafe but were a bit disappointed, nothing special. The cafe is located on the second floor of the Academic Bookstore. The service was fine, coffee was good, but the cinnamon buns were not freshly baked.
Located on the second floor, the cafe has friendly and fast service and a nice choice of breakfast menus. Pricing is mostly around the 10-12 EUR mark and very much worth it.
More than a café. The excellent service is always friendly and quick, the location is great and being inside a bookstore gives the place its own atmosphere. There is a Starbucks downstairs but if I were you, I would go to Aalto Cafe instead 🙂
Located inside the premises of Academic Bookstore, this is one of the best cafes in Helsinki. As I spent nearly 5 hours inside the bookstore, I visited the cafe twice and each time ordered some latte and croissants. Absolutely delicious, big helping.

One of the best cafés in Helsinki located in Academic Bookstore. Classic and modern with original Aalto furniture. They have wonderful pastries and cakes. Excellent very dark espresso and table service. Also various breakfast options. Peaceful corner in the bookstore and hugely popular.
This is nice Cafe take a break from the busy shopping.You just sit down and and get friendly service very soon.
