Droppped in twice in a week for cold drink then coffee and cake. A warm welcome, great choice of cakes (fig and almond tart especially good) and good coffee. Small terrace overlooking the valley but shaded fro, the sun.
Popped in for a restorative coffee, cognac and cake. Second visit in two days after and before long walks. Friendly, prompt service with GSOH. V tasty fig and almond tart and nice local eau de vie. Nice views. A good find.

The food here is excellent – unusual tastes, local twists, and good portions. Their set menu is highly recommended. Service is excellent, and the views from the terrace down into the valley just add to the experience.
We’re recommended by our hotel in Porto to eat at the Chataigneraie, but when we turned up it was closed. A young girl working there told us about the Bar de la Poste and we were not disappointed Would thoroughly recommend if you are passing.
