About
Almost straddling the Alsatian border with Germany, you can almost see the land and the buildings change here in Marlenheim. The exterior of celebrated local restaurant Le Cerf could indeed be in either country, its flower lined walls an almost theme park take on Bavarian architecture. But step inside and the sleek, sophisticated dining room really couldnt be more French. The monochrome scheme is straight of a Parisian style magazine while wood panelled walls give the room a chateau feel. The menu, designed by chef Michel Husser, who has trained in restaurants worldwide, gives a modern interpretation of local Alsace cuisine and manages to be both inventive and faithful at the same time.
