This narrow terrace alongside the road through Ascain produces exceptionally good food. Not a fussy place and simple recipes but well done. Worth a visit. Specials are wonderfully fresh and local.
A very pleasant experience of typical French cuisine. We were very happy with our fish of the day with very nice wine to match. For a small restaurant Eric was the perfect host and good honest food.
Fairly average meal. The anchovy salad did not claim to be fresh anchovies and it wasn’t. Hamburger was fine but French fries were soggy and greasy.Gambas were plentiful and very garlicky.
We stopped off at this restaurant en route back from a trip up La Rhune. The food was delicious and freshly prepared. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Great value and very welcoming too
Saving grace here was the enthusiastic waitress who helped us with choosing our meals and was very friendly. Food was average, huge king prawns but with little flavour and squid well cooked as mains. Reasonably priced house wine was good value. Avoid the loo!
