Run by a fisherman who decided to launch a restaurant. A good place for a pleasant lunch but no terrace.
We went to Chez Fred’s based on recommendations from guide books etc. Admittedly it was a Monday night but there were only three other people in the restaurant so there was no real atmosphere. Food was pretty uninspiring and service was casual.
We had an excellent dinner at this famous fish restaurant – the two waiters were energetic, welcoming, cheery and helpful. The Menu de la mer (25euro) was excellent value and the Salade Charentaise (sarter) was scrummy. Would go again tomorrow given half a chance!
