Opened in June 2018 after two years work, the Bar de la Couronne of the Royal Hotel Caen Centre welcomes you 24/7 - but please note we cant serve alcohol after 00:30..! The question could be Why Bar de la Couronne (The Crowns Bar)? There is history behind it, the long history of the most ancient hotel in Caen going back probably to the 16th century when it was a Royal Coaching Inn, hence the Crown, genuine souvenir of a time we did not know. It is now also dedicated to the great engraver Mr. Garrido and his gripping work that allow us to see the Norman landscapes around Caen without leaving the hotel!
