This was our third meal at Altmanns and we have stayed in the hotel on a previous visit to Erlangen. Delicious food elegantly served. Marco Altmann comes out of his kitchen to talk to the guests while his wife Binia ensures everything runs smoothly.

This little hotel was a little gem. Located with 5 minutes walk of everywhere. Didn’t eat here but local restaurants were great. Kellar Street had great atmosphere, I’m sure in May it’s better than any October fest.
Do not miss white asparagus salad! I also enjoyed Austrian style veal cutlet. The dessert was vanilla ice cream with hot apple pieces wrapped in a dough. Their bread is great, too. Staff helps what to order.
The view is good, the menu has a wide selection – the food is ok but the miserable staff let this place down – if you have them 1€ tip for every time they smiled they would owe you money 🙁
