Nice restaurant, beer good, food is average. Having been there on a number of occasions it can be very hit and miss, although their goat’s cheese salad is very good. Expensive.
it is a tipical bavarian place at the ground floor of the hotel. bavarian cousine and delicious beer which is produced by their craft brewery
Had wienerschnitzel (boring choice, I know) and it was very well cooked with a nice potato-cucumber salad and a berry sauce. Two large Maxbräu Kellerbier to drown it with. Felt like a wheelbarrow walking to my hotel. Very, very good service as well!
I spent a week in Oberammergau and this was my favorite restaurant. My wife and I tried the schnitzel, pork knuckle, and goulash. All were fantastic. The beer was simply the best that I’ve had in Germany. Service was typical European.
Make a reservation if you want to have dinner here. The place is full most of the time. Well decorated inside, good food and great homemade beer.
