Tex Mex is a fusion of Mexican & Italian cuisines. Tex Mex is most popular in Texas and neighboring areas, especially nearby states in both the US and Mexico. Some ingredients are common but other ingredients not typically used in Mexico are often added such as Fajita, Nachos, Chilli Con Carne. Tex Mex is characterized by its heavy use of shredded cheese, meat, beans, peppers and spices.
