About
ABOUT US Figurehead our culinary expedition bears the name: ZAZIE Incarnated in the wonderful story written by Raymond Queneau (1959) and immortalised by the rebellious nouvelle vague film director Louis Malle (1960), is our innuendo for adventurism that voyages beyond French cuisine and savoir-vivre, a portrayal of raw food lightness! Zazie is a provincial 10-year-old girl who stays in Paris with her Uncle Gabriel for two days, while her mother spends some time with her lover. All that Zazie desires is to ride the mtro. However, notwithstanding that the mtro is on strike, Zazie manages to evade her uncle's Bistro and sets out to explore the city on her own. In so doing, Zazie not only turns the mundane life of Gabriel upside down, but also the city itself. The journey she embark on reflects not only the nonchalant of the momentarily or the intoxicating beauty of French restaurant, but above all the ardent craving for "Moules-frites et cacocalo!"
