Very good food, fish as well as meat. Very nice, old location with view on the water. Service friendly in the typically dry northern Germany manner. Nice visit, good place to eat not far from the new Hamburg concert hall Elphi.
A very nice dining experience in one of Hamburg’s institutions. Honest food well prepared, no frills or fanfare, just plain and simply good traditional food. I d go back here.
They salt their food immensly. Herring not good at all, trying to compensate flavours with red onions. Also slow service. Had to pay in counter after 30min eaiting.
A traditional Hamburg restaurant with authentic and delicious food at affordable prices. A great find also loved by locals. Reservations a must. The food is authentic Hamburg and all made to order with fresh ingredients.
The waiters in this restaurant are so rude! They just ignored us because we did not speak German fluently, which seems to be a problem for them. I will never go back to this place.
