This is one of my favourite Schanzenviertel places. 100% unfashionable, not caring for any kind of marketing. Post-migrant staff, totally nice service. Coffees rather average quality, cakes and gateaus excellent, moderate prices. Mostly local people any kind of age exept for neoliberal suckers. Recommendable!
This bakery & coffeeshop must have been around for ages. I come here a few times a year, usually to buy cake. They have put up the prices for pastries and cakes for the third time in two years.
Café Stenzel does not look so great from outside but the pastry they have and their cappuccinos are very nice. I have the mandarin cheesecake and my wife the chocolate Berliner. The only dowenside is that they have no WLAN.
This patisserie is located just in the heart of Sternschanze. You can find various cakes with fruits and chocolate. They have a rich menu of tea and coffee. The waiters are kind and helpful. The ambiance is also nice to have a chat with friends.
