About
People laugh, cry, clap, dance, fall on chairs. Steak Frites is served ans serving honesty. No frills. But great undisguised, crisp fried pieces of meat that are as thick cushions which lay on the plate. Inside, the rooms are bathed in dim light. A man is hanging his tension at the door. The Sotto Voce my side's penetrating me. He seems to come from a Fellini film. Where am I? Insider mingle with outsiders, creatives with people in business uniform, Trend Darlings with Felix-Krull-Nerds. Beautiful women sitting on the ledge and eat - engrossed in conversation - a thousand little vegetarian delights. The decor breathes timelessness. The scenery trains himself in fine discretion, speaks only when asked. The lamps of black hats paint lines on the walls. The Chapeau is a place where style is not just a matter of clothes. Where every small talk also has a little power. A deep trip into the neckline alternates with the shy glance in my now half empty glass. Louder conversations. Clanking glasses. The ringing of cutlery. Resounding bass, louder and louder. The DJ formed his opener. First legs swing to the beat of his dramaturgical skillfully constructed songs. Another Harrald Juhnke! Cheers. Company History Has opened in 2013. Launched as a pop up at the harbor the Chapeau! design and food & drinks concept is inspired in by many international impressions. It also brings together new dishes with classics. Fresh marinated, or massed Kale, with lukewarm Hokkaido pumpkin and then Steak Frites with decent fries, homemade ketchup and mayo and a secret recipe of the famous Cafe de Paris butter, which is what we call Chapeau butter. It has 26 ingredients and is liquid as is brought to the table in Paris. Good drinks, a la carte weekend brunch, a variety of events and spontaneous escalation there on top - completed the life-enclave in good old Winterhude. The ownerDetails
