Coffe Baum (Coffee Tree) opened in 1556 and has a museum on the upper floors of this cafe about the history of the building and Arabian coffee. We had a very good meal, fast and friendly service and a good cappuccino afterward.

Tasty cakes in an old, historic buildings with several rooms. Very nice service and fast as well. However, the last couple of times the tables were reserved for very large groups.
Oldest Coffee Shop in Europe. Wonderful historic district location. Nice Museum upstairs. Wonderful coffee, pastries and food. A must visit when in Leipzig!
On a sunny day with the fountain outside it is actually quite pleasant to take a break and have a coffee and sample one of the local pastries.
