About
If you go to the Galerie restaurant in the Hotel Leipziger Hof, you might get confused and think that you had got the wrong door. The restaurant has more than 500 paintings from the Leipzig School of Art hanging on its walls. These alone are worth a visit. Nobody should go hungry looking at the paintings. The chef sees to that. The restaurant mainly serves traditional German food. This includes many recipes from Saxony and some recipes borrowed from international cuisine. The chef grows his own herbs in the beer garden, which is a popular place to go and sit, weather permitting. The restaurant and beer garden can accommodate 80 people for parties and events. The meeting rooms can accommodate up to 100 people. There is also a guided tour of the extensive art collection Friday at 5 pm (which lasts for 60 minutes and is free of charge, more information at the reception).
