About
Culinary centerpiece of the Ensemble Villa Sorgenfrei is the restaurant "Atelier Sorgenfrei" in the former garden and ball room, with its approximately seven meter high ceilings and reminiscent of an orangery floor to ceiling windows. In this historic hall, which has retained its sandstone flooring, stucco ceiling, precious murals and a 200 year old lead crystal chandeliers, the kitchen team presents a Stefan Hermann designed, modern country kitchen. Two menus and an la carte menu is available with dishes such as, "In aromatics roasted veal chop with asparagus", "red mullet on saffron risotto and pesto" and "Warm Chocolate ring cake with vanilla and strawberry compote". In the summer months seating is also available on the restaurant terrace. From here guests have a wonderful view of the reconstructed historical model baroque garden with its sandstone fountain and the more than century-old trees.
