Our traditional tavern -cafe " Ta Ximeromata" is located in Patsos, Amari which is at 23rd kilometre north of Rethymno. Here you will find traditional food which is cooked by Xenia and mama Maria. You will taste our famous gemista, souvlaki portion, burger, omelette, gyros, steak, lamb, salad, haddock, dakos, tzatziki and much more. Meat is our own production. Livestock is being raised at Argiri's farm and all vegetables and greens are grown in the garden of Xenia's father. Wine, raki, rakomelo, ouzo are all local drinks. Here you can also find many needlecrafts such as bags, scarves, vourgies (a local kind of shepherd bag) hand made by Xenia and plenty of local products such as honey, olive oil, raki, rakomelo, wine and ouzo available for sale. Moreover, in Patsos and more specific 100 meters away from our tavern you can visit the holy temple of the Virgin Mary which dates back to 1357 A.D.
