El Remate is a strategic spot for when you visit the Ancient Maya World. 13 Ahaw makes its own bread and pasta from "Ramn Blanco" (Brosimum Alicastrum) which was a KEY food-fruit-crop for these ancient people. I was really surprised to find a vegetarian restaurant in a small town like El Remate. So we went with my family and it was really great. Owner was really nice and food was great. Especially the hummus is something you have to try.
