Toko Baru was founded in 2008. The menu is quite eclectic and can be described as pan-Asian and mid eastern. Toko Baru strives to serve a great quality meal for a fair price. Toko Baru has become a staple among locals as well as the expat and traveler community in Antigua. All food is prepared locally and Toko Baru prides itself on some very tasty meals like the Shoarma Kebab- The choice of how to eat the meal lies with the customer- the options are: in a Pita Bread- in a wheat tortilla (as a burrito) or on a plate with Rice.All meals are served with our sauces- a yogurt garlic based sauce, a fruity sauce and a very hot version of a Sambal sauce (made out of local chilies).
