El Gato Perdido was first opened by a husband and wife team and was a small successful delicatessen in San Juan. After a year and a half in San Juan, son Luis IV joined the team and they moved to San Pedro in December 2018. Chef Luis trained in Spain for 5 years and had brought his extensive Mediterranean skills with him. The new restaurant is bigger and better and offers lunch and dinner. Food is prepared with love and ingredients are top quality and sourced carefully. It is not just lunch and dinner on offer; there is also the option of calling in during the afternoon for paninis, cheese platter, baguettes, chicken terrine, crepes and more. There is also great coffee, a choice of teas, excellent smoothies, carefully chosen wines and liquors. Lunch and dinner options include dishes like Roulade of Beef Tongue, Fish of the day, Large Shrimp El Gato Perdido and steak. Desserts include Crme Brule, Apple Tart, chocolate mousse and almond semigelato.
