If you would like to try real Hungarian food, this is the place to go. Not many options, lots of meat (and fat), but everything is delicious (we tried two types of soup, main course, and a dessert, and loved all of them).
We had a nice lunch there, but we had to wait a bit more than expected for the meals. If you haven’t booked a table in advance, you’ll need luck to find a free place in the main season – as we had! ?

A genuine hungarian cottage opeating as a restaurant, ran by charmful people, Attila and Andi. Definitely native people cook in the kitchen – you’ll find great hungarian tastes like the pumpkin dish on the pic. Must try if you’re in the neighborhood.

Every time we visit the north side of lake Balaton, we cannot leave w/o spending a quick lunch or dinner in Bakos’. Great traditional food, high quality, trattoria style, A+ place.
