The food was just not right except the Mocktail and the soup. Starters were extremely oily and I could taste the stale oil and raw gram flour in it.In the main course thankfully I didn’t try the chicken coz the gravy itself was tasteless. Potato fry lacked spices and salt. The barbecue chicken was too sweet and weird for a chicken dish.Finally for the deset- Best thing was the watermelon coz it cleaned my palate and I could feel the taste of the water. Your brownies were too dry to gulp without any liquid. Moving Dal halwa was good.All in all not worth the food u guys are serving for a whopping 1300/-.Well, I am surely not coming back to Gateway anymore!!!
GAD is one of the best places to have your meal. The service, food & ambience is fantastic. The sea view is awesome. We had breakfast there and it was out of the world, even the tea at the end of the breakfast was wonderful.
To be mentioned : Very very delicious food.The buffet is very much worth for money.The service is fast and the staff is nice as well, especially the manager Rambabu is quite friendly.
We stayed at the Gateway for 3 days ( Nov 7-10 ), and enjoyed the complimentary breakfast everyday there. While the spread was nice, the staff were courteous, very helpful and smiling always, the place seemed to be a bit small for the large Hotel that Gateway is. I am not sure if the in room dining which we availed came from GAD or any other restaurant there ( we ordered Indian food only ), that was excellent as well.
I went with my family for dinner and as expected the ambience was nice for a family gathering. We chose buffet since we were suggested by the staff for the spread they had was apparently better than Al a carte according to them. But honestly to the price we were charged, it was a limited spread with very few things that were actually good. Some were really bland especially the pasta. Overall, I with my family, was able to have a pretty good time with a pleasant vibe and friendly staff but food could be more better in taste and spreads.
Biryani is very tasty. Nice restaurant. Good preparation by Ashok Kumar Josh, chef. Good service, ambience. Nice staff, beach view. Good location
