I was staying at this hotel Ginger in the Dwaraka nagar area and this restaurant is located on the ground floor of this hotel. It was lunch time and I was waiting for a friend and as she was late I decided to have a quick executive veg lunch. It consisted of paneer curry, pulav, roti, gulab jamun, salad and curd.It is wholesome, light, tasty as well as economically priced. The decor is pretty basic but the service is quick.
This restaurant was in the hotel i was staying in (Ginger) and during my 2 days of stay I didn’t dine here once. I saw the menu a few times but I think it’s prohibitively expensive. But being hungry during the check out and having remembered seeing a board outside for a certain executive lunch at 99 and 149 for vegetarian and non vegetarian respectively. So decided to give it a try , The problem here was that it turns out the offer is only valid from Mon – Fri. That was a bummer for me.Though I tried to coax the waiter to serve it anyhow since I was an in room guest. He initially denied but I guess seeing my glum face he decided to serve it anyway. Not Just that , the meal was to consists of Mix Veg curry ( I picked the Veg meal) however on my insistence he replaced with Kadhai Paneer and gave service with a big smile . With service like that you already win 80% of the battle. The meal itself consisted of Kadhai Paneer, Some Veg Biryani/Pulao, 1 Tandoori Roti and some yummy Raita, it also had an option for a gulab Jamun or rassgulla however I didn’t take either .The food itself about alright , Paneer lacked some flavour but I loved the Raita and the Biryani , the single Roti was large and fluffy . And For 129 Bucks (AI) it seemed like a fairly good deal , add the smiling service in , and we have a winner here . Though the Ala Carte prices are too high for a place like this , and I doubt I would have gone there had I not been staying there.
