Over priced, lacks quality and meagre portion sizes. The ambience reminds of a busy market bustling with business. You wish you never entered this hotel in the first place.Food tastes good but not worth it. A lot needs to be done.

This was my maiden trip to Vijaywada and I was looking at some authentic cuisine options online. Came across Minerva, the gem everyone talked and wrote about. Minerva has two branches, I visited the original one near Governorpet. Went in for an early lunch and ordered their famous Andhra thali. This thali was different from the Andhra thalis you get in Bangalore etc. It was not too spicy and everything on the plate had a subtle taste. Vegetables were quite homely and authentic. Sweet was not that great though. Curd was very very fresh. This outlet does not have fancy interiors, but a good old charm. The service was exceptional and the staff informed about the food items they served.

A wonderful Andhra style thali consisting Syrup Sarbat, Puri, Pulao, Dal, dry veg, two other veg curries, sweet halwa, curd, white rice, ghee, gunpowder. Subtle meal ,I liked it so much. It’s an all you can eat thali. Price for a thali was RS 200 which justifies absolutely. We tried Pesarattu which is a dosa made of sprouts batter and stuffed with onion ,ginger and sprouts. Liked the taste so the chutneys accompanied. Interior is neat, service is quick. Crew is helpful, generous and attentive. I will visit here again. Happy eating!!
