I went to this place for lunch today. The place is apparently under some sort of renovation (as informed by the cashier lady) and the staff were really surprised to receive guests. There was no menu either but thankfully they did serve what we were looking for – pork Thali. The waiter girl can neither understand Assamese nor Hindi and she kept looking at the cashier lady, who seemed like the only knowledgeable person in the entire restaurant. Also the service was slow and we had to wait quite a while for our food. Now coming to the thali, the pork was the saving grace of otherwise what was one of my worst restaurant experiences. The pork was sliced in a old school way and was adequately seasoned. I was satisfied with my meal. This restaurant serves good food but unfortunately suffers from surprisingly incompetent management.
I had placed an order for bamboo shoot chicken and upon arrival the packaging of the food seemed top notch. However, once I opened the container, I was highly disappointed at the state of affairs. The chicken pieces seemed half cooked. The taste did not redeem the dish. The gravy lacked any spice whatsoever and was too watery. The pieces of chicken, as suspected, were undercooked and devoid of any flavor.Maybe someone who enjoys boiled chicken in a watery and tasteless broth will like it but it wasn’t for me.
A place since 2012 and just recently they have improved their ambience and the menu looks so good. It’s a perfect place to try out the local cuisine of north east. Some things that you may love about this place is the 99 Rs combos which is pocket friendly and it’s a right combination of rice and meat and perfect thing for any student. The momos are also a must try and it’s very good out here. Another thing that you will love about this place is the seven states thali and it has a item dish from every north east state. It comes with veg chicken and pork / mutton items. A must try and a perfect thing for a two.

Back in then when i was in guwahati used to regularly visit this restaurant, it seriously some renovation and food is economic but good. I’ll do visit it again.
Best place I have come across in guwahati for authentic naga food. Economical and fresh with a very well behaved and polite staff . Do try the chutney they serve with the naga thali , I promise you won’t regret it.
