On 16th Jan 2020, i along wd my friend visited this resturant around 10:15 pm. As I am currently living in bangalore and goes to Guwahati every year, my friend who is from guwahti took me to this place. We ordered pork thali as they have nothing else. The whole stuff was not willing to serve as it was bit late. Now secondly, the food was horrible which we realised it on next day as both of us were having stomach upset.STRONGLY NOT RECOMMEND AS THEY SERVE OLD AND STALE FOOD.Hopeless and low quality food. Dont go there
I went there for dinner. The ambience is very soothing. Dimly lit and smells of bamboo shoot. Big glass windows overlooking the main road. Also, there’s a see-through glass of the kitchen and you notice pans and woks catching fire and it warms your heart.Only went there to try out pork. We ordered a veg thali, some plain rice, pork with sesame (gravy), roasted pork fry. Now the veg thali consisted of rice, naga dal, boiled mix veggies and various chutneys. Among the chutneys, the dry fish chutney stole my heart. It was really hot and I couldn’t help myself from ordering it twice. The boiled veggies made me feel healthy and nutritious. The pork was aah!! The roasted one was finger licking and spicy and so yummy. The sesame one was okayish. Could be better. The gravy was watery and the pork pieces were overcooked and went dry.The portion sizes were good according to price. The bill is another story. They charged us ₹70 higher than what the bill was supposed to be. On looking the bill carefully, we saw that the prices of the items were increased to ₹20-₹30 in every dish. On confronting, they said it was a technical glitch!! Really? That was a complete let down. If we wouldn’t have gone through the bill, we would have paid extra from almost nothing. Please look into this matter.
1. To the chef, amazing, I really loved the course. They have an amazing balance of flavour and comfort. #respect2. To the Guy Staff that waited for me, He was a polite and humble person. Give him a hike or something.2. To the other staff that was on billing counter, Do not enforce prices on customers without their confirmation. I was not asked if I wanted Mineral water but it was present in my bill nonetheless (I was gonna order Mineral Water anyways) and FYI the bottle was open (So basically you could have just given me refilled water). #Shame3. To another staff, If I come to a restaurant don’t ask why I have come, I didn’t come to restaurant to play sports, I came to eat.About the payment option, I came from Pune for a short visit and really craved for ethnic cuisine for my dinner. I expected, being it a proper dining place, to have online payment options but no. Instead of telling me honestly that you don’t accept it (Which you should unless you might be evading tax or something), you gave me the most stupid reason that the machine was bad. #stupidstaffLol. Like really? if it’s bad, it’s not my problem, it’s yours. FIX IT.I was not in a mood for confrontation but you needed to be addressed accordingly.
