Soaltee Sweets located next to Nepali Mandir is one of the oldest sweet shops in the vicinity. Samosas and kachodis sold here are quite good; however sweets are not up to the mark.
No frills grub to quell the rumble in your belly. The no nonsense samosas aka singaras, a dollop of the seizure inducing sweet chutney, rasgollas and milky sweet strong tea! This is as filling and as basic as it gets. Stand in the pavement, watch out for pedestrians who might upset the gentle balance of the plate in your hand and add a dash of chutney red to your shirt, add to the taste of your fare with the generous dose of dust the city buses kick up, slurp the scalding hot tea and you’re good to go again!
