The place is clean and never really crowded. Its an in-house restaurant of the hotel, so the orders are mostly from guests staying there. We had a veg thali, steamed rice, butter naan and chicken butter masala. Everything was freshly made and so took quite some time to arrive. The food tastes great and is easy on the pocket. Don’t know why it has such low ratings.
Had dinner there with my parents. The ambiance is nice and clean and the staff friendly and helpful. The food is simple and yet tasty and to top it all off, quite affordable. Overall, I was quite impressed. Anyone looking for a quiet and nice meal in the Paltan Bazar area could certainly try this place out
Simple and nice breakfast! We had bread butter, jam and masala omelet. The omelette was a little oily but that’s some we mind. Value for money. Very nice coffee and lemon tea. Found this on our last day in Guwahati, and wr think it’s a better option to go to than any in the vicinity.
This place has been there for sometime now but maybe the beeline of fancy restaurants in its vicinity eclipses it a bit. While visiting the ulubari area of the city for some shopping , my family decided to give this place a try for dinner. So there we went. Its a smallish place on the ground floor of the hotel whose part it is. Nothing extravagant about the decor or the lighting. Its a regular sort of place. The menu is the usual Indian, Chinese one which family restaurants generally hold.We ordered butter naan, biryani, dal makhani, matar paneer and chilly chicken. The service wasn’t slow and the staff were courteous.About the food, although the decor doesn’t appeal much, the food is actually quite good. The biryani was well cooked but without raita. The chicken was soft and juicy. The naan was soft and served hot. But the star of the show was the dal makhani. The pulses were well cooked and the gravy was thick in the right proportions. The smoky flavor added on to its taste..On the whole, when hungry and want some good food to fill your tummy and if decor doesn’t matter to you, its a good place to try out.
This place is easy to locate in paltan bazar, Very moderate kind of food not an absolute finger licking type, but you won’t despice the food either. They take a lot of time to cook and you have to wait for a long time for your order to come, (Eg:- 2Tawa roti takes 20min to be served.) So don’t go there when you are in hurry. The ambience is very average. Its a family restaurant and so good for those who want to have a good family time and a budget restaurant.
