Aurora restaurant is inside the hotel Mayflower. Mayflower is one of the good hotel in the area. Coming to food, they got North Indian varieties, some South Indian items for breakfast. Price is a bit high according to the quality and quantity of food.
Food: 3.5/5Ambience: 4.5/5Service: 2/5I’ve visited this place once so far and it was not a very pleasant experience.The saddest part is that I genuinely wanted to love this place since its a 5 minute walk from my home and looks absolutely amazing from the outside but the management was pretty clueless and the service was bad. The food was actually pretty nice, but that does not matter when you are promised food in 15 minutes and are delivered the food in 1 hour and 15 minutes! Yes, you read that right. 1 hour and 15 minutes is what they took for 3 simple continental dishes (and the restaurant was pretty empty). Shoddy management and false promise are one of the few things which irritate me to the point of no return and Mayflower managed to deliver in both those areas. At the end of the day, I couldn’t even judge the food objectively and was so frustrated that i just wanted to get out of there.However, for what it is worth, the interiors and ambience of the place is on another level. Everything has been tastefully done and the owners have spared no expenses. P.S: Maybe they had a bad day at the office and are more efficient on other days, so do not write it off without giving it a try.
This review is for a-la-carte dinner.Places where customer’s are pampered, loved most and Mayflower’s aurora is an example.We were planning to order blue lagoons in drinks but Ms. Pooja Chakravarty who is a great host, offered blue lagoons as welcome drinks.We ordered chilly crispy babycorn and Hara bhara kabab in starters, both were meeting the expectations.In main course, Mushroom mutter masala, Kadhai Paneer with butter nan, lachha parantha and stuff parantha were ordered.Breads tasted fresh, Mushroom and Paneer had little extra oil but weren’t giving the feel of oily food. You can request them for less oil preparation.They have their own parking.Overall experience:Excellent
