Most of us 90’s kids will have major memories of going to Tandoor as a kid for our weekly dinners because it was one of the few fine dining restaurants in that time. Its sad that I visit here much less now but till date have good experiences dining here. The ambiance has been kept pretty similar through the years and it has a warmth and a sense of belonging. They still have live singers who croon to classic bollywood songs from thr Kishore Kumar era. The only thing I don’t like is the big hike in prices,and I believe thats one of the major reasons that Guwahati city dwellers don’t frequent this place.What we ordered:-Veg.Kurkure Kebab : I liked this one,it has angood crunch and is done well. The spice and texture is very good.-Tandoori Aloo Dholakia : I am slowly not too into potatoes nowadays and though it looked nice,since it was a little under done, didn’t enjoy it-Kaali Dal : loved it. Beautifully prepared. Not too creamy and the flavor was on point-Roomali Roti: though it was rolled thinly,it quickly turned card board which I don’t think a lot of places have learnt how to keep them softThe service is again very warm and fast. Hoping that I do visit here a couple of times a year,maybe just for the nostalgia and the dal.

You can request your fav old hindi song. Ideal for couples and family. I love their butter chicken and vegetables seekh kebabs. Restaurant has comfortable and good vibes.

Have been visiting this place since I was toddler. Even though the prices are on a higher side, the place is amazing for traditional kebabs. Enough options for vegetarians too.
The ambience After renovation is good.. music is good but the main course food quality has degraded very bad but the starters were ok .. was not satisfied with food quality
Great food. Nice ambience. Lovely options even for vegetarians.We had Hara Bhara Kabab and tandoori chicken for starters. Awesome taste! Juicy chicken and the HBK was wonderfully laden with herbs and nuts. We also loved the Paneer Matar Makai that we ordered for main course.
Live music and food is always a great combination. And Indian music with some amazing Indian food is like an icing on the cake. Absolute cracker of food that was served to me the other night made me a big fan. Do try the tawa fry parval dal makhani. It is little expensive but the experience makes up for it
