Nothing actually tastes like chandni chowk its like they wanted to give a name and they suited that with it. The service should get inprovised with each aspect. Should work more hard on it.

Guwahati doesn’t have many good options when it comes to quality vegetarian food. This place comes as a welcome relief in this regard. Its a small spot which can sit about 7-8 people at a maximum. As the name goes, they serve typical Dilliwaala snacks like parathas, chole bhature, chaats, dahi vadas, etc. At first the prices may seem a little high, but thankfully the quantity they serve makes up for it. I first tried out a plate of paneer chole bhature which cost Rs 100, which in my opinion was good in terms of taste and quality, but nothing that made me want to lick my fingers. Frankly speaking, I haven’t come across a single joint that sells great chole bhature here in Guwahati. The real stuff is found only in proper Delhi! Next I tried a plate of gobi parathas. Here, I quite liked the preparation and the taste of the items. Though Rs 80 for two parathas may sound a bit high, they were rather filling, plus the aloo sabzi served with it was fine too. This is not a cheap snack spot. You will have to dish out atleast around Rs 100 for sure if you want to have a decent meal out here. But the quantity and taste may make it up for you. For me the chole bhature dish was ok types, but the plate of parathas was a clear winner. This place makes a good spot for occasional outings.

If you have actually been to Chandni Chowk and tasted the lip-smacking food there, then please do not go this place, you will be highly disappointed. They named it Chandni Chowk but they are nowhere near.

This food joint is just a minute walk distance from our house. Now talking about their bhaturas , I would say that though they are not up to the chandni chowk standards, but they are quite tasty .

Its surprising to see why this place has been rated so low. This is the place where I stop by when I need some comfort food i.e., good, filling food with generous amounts of butter! With some recent addition to the menu, this place does provide quite a number of options. The aloo parathas, chole bhature (try the paneer chole bhature), pav bhaji and kulfis are delicious. Some people might have a problem with the limited space and ambience, but then its street food, you hook for the food, not ambience. Do give this place a try, you won’t regret it. Another paratha please! 😀
