As the name suggests it serves you local Assamese cuisine with essence of local herbs and spices. The ambience is good and the service is prompt. Few years back, I use to visit this place a lot but recently I found the taste was too bland.
Amazing thali and great ambience. We ordered veg Thalis and a plate of pork fry. The pork fry was, hands down, the best pork dish I have ever had. Great job.
This Assamese delicacy, Maasor Pitika, is one of my personal favourites with rice.My tastebuds say- 4.5/5This is only one yummilicious item from Bhut Jolokia’s menu, they’ve got loads of others like Chicken Khorikaa (fire-roasted chicken), Duck Meat , veg-non veg thalis, etc. One of the best restaurants in #Guwahati for Assamese cuisine, and a must try for visitors wanting to taste local food in Assam.@yet_another_blog_ on Instagram for the full review.#foodreview #foodblogger #localcuisine #northeastindia
I went here today and ordered Mutton Curry, Pork fry and Fish. Firstly I ordered Ari fish and Chital fish. There wasn’t any. Only Bhagon fish was there. And when it came. Trust me I had never tastes such worse pork fry in all these years. The mutton wasnt boiled properly and the fish was just average. There was a small party at my place for which I ordered and all I got was embarrassment. Worst food!
The name of this place tempted me to visit since I love bhoot jolokia, and to my surprise the food tasted as home. I have been visiting this place quite often to have the maasor tenga and tillot dia kukura torkari. It’s very good and found as my favourite. Prices are reasonable and can have satisfied tummy.
