Yak yak yak!! I wanted to try some north eastern cuisine before I leave for Mumbai. I ordered a local dish and the rice was infested with Weevils ( atleast 8-10 of them. Some of them crawling out of my meal. I wish Zomato had a video share! Refer pictures. What first looked like Jeera (Cumin) turned out to be dead weevil ( insect) . I could see them through my naked eye in dim light, i wonder why the chef couldn’t see it !! And yes, I inquired, the dish doesn’t serve Weevils as an ingredient to the dish or any of their dishes !!
Really premium place on zoo road, very upmarket and the place lives upto its expectations. We tried Shillong rice and chicken thukpa. Both the dishes tasted fantastic but service is a bit slow. Must visit if you have time and want to try northeastern cuisine and some beer.
