Went in for a tandoor festival. It had a live kitchen where parantha was being cooked. Ambience was good. Now about the food. Festival food was good as expected but their regular menu food items was not as per Maurya standards. Also the service was very slow. It took approx 30 minutes to get the order. Very slow. Staffs were courteous. If you have patience and can wait for your food then can give them a try.
Hotel Maurya holds a good reputation and hence the expectation is high. The ambience is pretty good but the food is average. Buffet items or general, both can be drastically improved.
Preferable to reserve table in advance.Timings 12 to 3 noon and 8 to 11 pm. Live music is a bonus.Good hygiene, courteous staff.Needs more variety in starters and desserts and some work on ambience. They don’t provide RO water and the bottled water is overpriced.Overall a fine dining experience but timings are little late
The ambience was Too GooD & such a Lovely place ., This’s the place for people who love mild music and Tempted Food & one more thing is Important inside spice court such as Waiter , way of action, Way of Talking
It’s a fantastic fantastic place if u want to spend some quality time with us family or friend we lot baked Alaska and gulabi chicken kebab the taste was superb
I went to this place for my birthday dinner with family. The ambience is pretty nice. We were fortunate enough to enjoy the live ghazal, which happens every weekend. It was the best thing about that evening. Food however, was very descent. Nothing very special. For the price you are paying, you expect something exotic for your taste buds. But it won’t disappoint you either. The over hyped dahi ke kebabs were very average. Dal makhani, on the other hand, was perfect. Breads were also good. The staff was very courteous. 5 star for them. Overall a good place to have a posh dinner.
After giving a lot of thought, went ahead with the plan of having dinner at Spice Court.Ambience was amazing with live musical performance. Mr tausif needs a special mention for making the experience a personalised one. The service is what you would expect from a hotel of this category. Now coming to food, soup and starter(kebabs) were good. The murg kastori kebab was one of the best but mutton galawat kebab was not upto my expectations as I have had the original galawat kebab from Lucknow. The main course ordered was chicken seekh dumpukht and chicken Kadhai both of which were mild to my taste. The naan was the lightest naan I had till date. One should go and give this place a try. The cost comes to around Rs7000/- for 4 people.
