Visited Takshila to host a small reception with 25 People on 15.01.2020. Everything was absolutely horrible – the food, the service, the lack of attention and even the charged amount! I had to serve water myself on the tables and personally convey all orders to the staff – because they were nowhere to be seen. One table was served Rotis while other was served only Naans. Veg. Appetizers were served cold, there was no serving on the table by the waiters and food was merely dumped on the table with guests expected to serve themselves – and this is just the start! Please also find attached, a copy of the bill. I was charged Rs. 750/- for bottles of water! This is just ridiculous – please give me one example of any buffet restaurant that charges for water. When we are making a booking for 25 PAX, least we can expect is free water – and we didn’t even ask for mineral bottled water. They could have just served us regular RO water but no, they had to charge us a ridiculous amount for water alone. Congratulations to the Takshila team – You very well made sure we never visit Takshila again! Never expected this from Hotel Chanakya. Word of Advice – you are better off spending a few extra bucks and going to Maurya or spending the same amount and going to Barbeque Nation or spending less amount and going anywhere else other than this place.
