Went for dinner but not impressed with hotel
The worst Buffet in Chandigarh.
Visited JW cafe recently on our visit to chandigarh. When it comes to JW Marriott, one can seldon go wrong with the food. We had the lunch buffet and the spread was quite nice. However being on the 1st floor of the hotel the ceiling was capped and it din’t give the airy feel which one associates with a coffee shop and specially Marriott’s have a huge ceiling at its coffee shops the world over.Coming to the best part of the buffet, the desserts, we have said this before and we say it again, there is no other place which serves desserts as good as the ones at Marriott.
Recently visited Café@JW.The Café@JW is running Purani Dilli ka Zaika festival where it is catering to Punjabi dishes which is hard to find..In a beautiful culmination of flavours and aromas, at the ‘Purani Dilli Ka Zaika’ food festival, patrons of JW Marriott Chandigarh will get to relish street favourites from Purani Dilli like Stuffed Paranthas, a trademark from the world famous Paranthe Wali Gali. Topping the popularity charts is the spicy, sweet and sour Chaat in its various forms and all its glory. Showcasing this unity in diversity as found in Delhi’s culture are dishes like Changezi Chicken, a remnant delicacy from the reign of Genghis Khan; Marwadi-style Khasta Kachori; the traditional slow-cooked Punjabi wonders including Dal Makhni and Sarson da Saag as well as the Pindi Cholle which has its root in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. Add to this the many traditional recipes from the Tandoor and Tawa, the ‘Purani Dilli Ka Zaika’ food festival will well and truly transport into many eras over a delightful dining experience…A big appreciation to their Service Managers who are quite attentive, responsive and soft spoken..Plus their Chefs (Chef Sweety Singh and Executive Chef Japvir Singh).Chefs personally attend their guests and look intosmaller requirements..Good Food combined with Great Service makes a place visit time and again..Thank YouManoj Kumar
