Monsoon is a simply styled quiet restaurant. The Staff is very courtious and helpful. They were very welcoming.I came over for a weekend dinner. The place was packed but the service did not slouch.Starters:Prawn pepper stir fry – a simple yet delicious preparation. The concussion of onions, curry leaves and red pepper corn blend perfectly well in making this coastal preparation. A must try for sea food lovers. I would have preferred if the prawns were more tender, however the flavours came out so well that I loved the preparation!Keema gujia – The authentic gujia with a twist. Stuffed with minced lamb spiced in Indian herbs and deep fried. It was more like a meat pastry served with delicious amla and tamarind chutney. I would have preferred if the spices were slightly less overpowering.Monsoon fried chicken – tender chicken thigh pieces crumb fried and served with pickled cucumber. Simple and delicious preparation. The chicken was very tender. A great starter with drinks. Highly recommended!Main course:Malaikari sikka – A eastern coast delicacy with a dash of Bengals coastal cuisine with the additon of coconut milk. Sublime yet rich in flavour, served with appam and roasted pumpkin on the side. A must try if you are fond of coastal curries. The prawns would have done justice to the curry if they were fresh sweet water ones and I would have preferred if the curry was slightly less sweet.Jau and meat stew – a lovely entree for the winters. This particular preparation had identifiable similarity with ‘Halim’ or rather the more popularly known dish ‘Dal Gosht’. The pulses blend perfectly well with the stew. Highly recommended during winters. I would have preferred if the dish had a larger quantity of meat, nonetheless it was the star of the main course.Aloo Gosht- potato stuffed with spiced lamb and deep fried, served on a platter to gravy based on tomato and onions garnished with boiled eggs. Very rich in terms of taste as flavours of the tomatoes and onions had blended perfectly. The dish was served with delicious malai and besan parathas. The taste of tomatoes in the gravy surpassed all the other ingredients. I would have preferred if there were lesser tomatoes.Dessert:Chocolate torte – A must try for dark chocolate afficionados. Garnished with mango leather and served alongwith raw mango coulis. The flavour of the dark chocolate had a harmonious blending with the raw mango. A great fusion in terms of flavours. Highly recommended!Cheese cake – not your regular new york cheese cake as this special one has a harmonious blend of afro asian cuisine. A simple yougurt based cheese cake having a base made out of finger millets, a very healthy cereal crop. Who said desserts aren’t healthy!Cocktails: Both highly recommended! The bishop – A concoction which dates back to the 18th century. This particular drink is a passionate blend of wine orange and lime juice. A very refreshing drink.Passion Fruit and green chilli- A citric fruity whine wine blended amazingly well with apricot puree mint and green chillis. Will titillate your taste buds for sure. Another amazing sangria on the menu.

A fine dine version of the original lota cafe. I just love their menu. Everything so simple yet makes it excited with a twist.Food.. 5/5 Great food quality, portion size is lil less. Yet the taste makes up fir it.Ambiance.. 5/5 Well lit, spacious, space allocation is good and the live kitchen looks cool.Service.. 5/5 Quality service, well mannered attendents, quick service, etc.Pricing.. 4/5 It’s a subjective matter, but I personally think. The pricing is fair for the offering. Value for money..5/5 Absolutely worth a visit.Recommended

So i visited this place in Aerocity and just loved it. Just like cafe lota this place offers some amazing food. You can find some contemporary indian food with a twist. I tried out the keema gujiya, tamarind fish, chana kabab and kheer. All these dishes come with a twist and they are definitely a must try. I would highly recommend this place to try out some amazing food.

So I visited the restaurent with a friend for lunch. Restaurant is not easy to locate though it is in aerocity but we found it via maps. So after entering the restaurant waiter showed us the way. Restaurant is not very big hence faster service. For starters we orderd 3 dishes Anand’s Fish Chops they were great, Keema Gujiya they were also good and lastly my favourite Monsoon Fried Chicken which was damn good. In drinks we ordered Asafetida Sour, Elderflower Spritzer and Tamarind Lemonade all drinks no complains there but Elderflower Spritzer was damn amazing it had very different taste I never experienced. For main course i ordered sesame chicken it was boneless chicken thigh in a rich white gravy and was very good. In desert we ordered Kheer which was topped with salted caramel and was delicious, we also Chocolate Torte which a rich choclate moose on a base of mango leather and was devine.Overall a great experience and would recommend everyone to visit it once
