My mom and I visited the shop after ages today! We were their regulars when they were in the main market. We tried to relive the memories today. Ambience. They have their entrance from the back lane. Its a very small place but neat and tidy. Like always they maintain hygiene and cleanliness. Service. The staff was helpful. I’ll give them 3.5/5. Food. We ordered Chhole and Bhature which were delicious. Hot and tasty they were served in a disposable plate. All was great! We took rasgullas which were soft and and yummy and got paneer packed. They were quick and welcoming. I’ll give them 4/5. Overall the place is worth the money and the visit. Must try!
We ordered bharwa gol gappe and they were good.
New Bengal Sweets have now shifted to the back side of the M Block Market. Must try this place for the crispiest aloo tikki in town. The chutneys they serve with the tikki is unique, specially the green chutney. A bit spicy for my liking but the taste and texture of the tikki compensates for the extra spice. And yes, if you are a bedmi poori aloo fan then u must try their Sunday Special Bedmi Poori Aloo. They are to die for. Again the methi chutney they serve accompanies the aloo subji really well. Don’t forget to ask them for extra methi chutney. Sadly it is only available on sundays and one needs to wait an entire week to have it again.
Lost my gol gappe virginity here. It was messy, awkward, and left a weird aftertaste in my mouth, so at least it felt familiar. Pani puri still wins, hands down.
