Heard a lot about this place! So,though of checking it out went there with two of my friend as we climbed up the stairs we had to turn on our phone flashlight’s as the staircase was completely dark, though the ambience was really nice the service was pathetic,it took more than 25 minutes to serve a glass of beer & we had to literally go the counter to request again & again. Very slow service & the server was lost in his own world, dear Management you guys need to work on service.
Agape is located in the narrow lanes of Humayunpur and we had heard that this place is open till late at night. Their Zomato profile looked promising and we thought we’d go and try out their fare last night.First of all, the ambience pictures do not match the reality. Their Zomato profile shows a well-lit warm ambience, but in reality, you are greeted with only some lights on casting a damp and almost shady ambience. The music that was on was good though. We had reached there at midnight and there were quite a few people there but the ambience was a real bummer.Moving on to food, we ordered rice beer, a virgin mojito, a platter of steamed pork momos and pork thalis. The rice beer was good stuff however the mojito was in such a sorry state. Didn’t finish it.The pork momos were at first impressive because they were very very juicy inside like they are supposed to be. However, one bite into it and we realised that there were uncooked chunks of pork meat and half-steamed flour in some of the momos inside our mouth. It was very hurriedly steamed and a few more minutes on steam would have made all the difference. The thalis now come with rice, dal, boiled veggies, chutney and the pork curry. The dal now was not cooked all the way: the lentils had just begun to split when they were tempered and served. The boiled veggies were just some cabbage leaves tossed in unsalted water; at least some effort would have been nice. The quality of the pork they serve is good and we could tell that it was sourced from the North-East as we could identify the taste. However, the curry was bad and overall, we couln’t finish even half of the thali. The chutney was the only saving grace last night but it was too little to give them a good review. If you want some trippy vibes, go and visit this place but if you want to experience what you see on Zomato, don’t go. It is absolutely nothing like that plus the food is not worth it.
Interior doesn’t look as is the photos on the website.Dirty and filthy, we gave up ordering anything because of ignorant stuff who smoked cigarettes inside. And the menu is so dirty and damaged.I don’t recommend.
First time i was here i was totally awestruck because of the beautifully done ambience although it can get better and when it comes to food i am very specific and particular about it i would highly recommend pork chilly noodles and tried momos(chicken) for the first time and i enjoyed it and Elcee always gets my honest feedback on the good and bad food so overall i enjoy coming here.
The ambience was good but food wasn’t that decent, and we were not even able to drink the Korean wine, else the staff was friendly, we had a good time over there
The best part is that it serves you throughout the night..a good option to reckon for weekends after party food scene..we orderder pork and chicken thalis along with some decently made mugs of rice beers..i will rate the food as fair but the pork could have been much improved..3.5 should be the actual rating for this outlet.
