If someone asks me where to find the most beautiful restaurants in Delhi, my straight answer is Mehrauli, always. In the backdrop of the mighty Qutub Minar, the restaurants here automatically get a view to boast of and are usually high end dine in by default, usually perfect for dates.Ditas is bang in the centre of Ambawatta One Complex and surrounded by beguiling designer stores and restaurants. Its very difficult to miss this place once you enter the complex and it looks drop dead gorgeous with the hanging lights at the entrance which also leads you to their outdoor seating. The indoor seating looks very plush and upmarket. The place is not very huge but one of the prettiest and the brightest. We started our meal with a simple “Gomae Spinach Salad” which had nicely boiled spinach leaves topped with a creamy sesame dressing and served with some crispy wontons. This is one of the simplest salad that I’ve ever had and the if you are looking for something very healthy especially with good iron portion, then this is the one for you. Next we ordered their “Vietnamese Rice Spring Rolls” which for some strange reason were a part of their winter menu. The dish is more suited to summers than winters, nevertheless the Vietnamese rolls tasted pretty well especially with the peanut sweet chilli dip they served along with them. Though one dish which totally failed to impress us was the “Roasted Sumac Baby Carrots” which took a huge amount of time to reach our table and had baby carrots mixed with the sauces used in an Indian chaat which didn’t appeal much.Moving to the main course, we ordered “Hickory Smoked Mushroom Stroganoff” & “Japanese Miso Vegetable Bowl”. The mushroom stroganoff which was served along with rice looked beautiful and tasted pretty good too. The tangy flavour did the trick here. The best of the lot though was the Japanese Miso Vegetable Bowl. It was a huge bowl full of veggies mixed with sticky rice and a bowl of spicy miso on the side which when mixed did wonders. It was very filling and the taste was just magnificent. The drinks accompanying our meal were “Floral Dew” and “Trip to Mexico”. Floral Dew had the usual mix of elderflower, lime and cucumber with some soda and sugar but it was trip to Mexico which amazed us a bit. It had jalapeno in it and we could actually get that flavour in each sip without fail.We ended our meal with “Baklava Crumble” which looked terrific and served along with some honey and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. The smoke phyllo layers topped with some crushed nuts tasted amazing and went well with the honey and the ice cream. This was also the only eggless dessert on their menu and loved the fact that they actually mentioned this outrightly on the menu not like other restaurants who simply skip this important part. The service here was very good and the staff right from entrance to the stewards were very courteous. They had pretty good knowledge about the menu and that made it very easy for us to place our orders.Overall, Ditas had its share of hits and misses as far as the food is concerned but as one often says, there are some places you visit for its ambience and overall experience rather than the food on offer and Ditas is definitely one of those! foodtraveletc.weebly.com

Ditas is one of the best cafe i have been in Delhi which had a perfect ambiance with the dash of ravishing food. The cafe is located in the elite circle near the Qutub Minar. Its’s outdoor cafe is radiant with lights and a beautiful view of Qutub Minar in all its glory. The ambiance of the place is very good and decorated to perfection. The vibe of the place refreshing and a feel of soothing your soul. When it comes to food, the taste of the food was its a feeling of utmost happiness when tasting them. We have ordered cappuccino, flat rice noodles dish (Khow suey) and Baklava crumbles, all the dishes was very yummy and satisfied the expectations. One important things i forget to mention about the place is they serve custom 3D printed coffee, you can give any picture you like to be 3D printed. It was a wonderful surprise and it made the dayOver all it was a best place to hangout for a romantic dinner and have a beautiful timeFood: 5/5Service: 4.5/5Ambiance: 5/5VFM: 4.5/5
